| 18 Feb 2007 New look |
The website has been updated to a more contemporary look, while ensuring that commonly used information is easily accessible for both existing 707 sailers and those new to the class. Most changes relate to appearance and organisation, rather than to content. It should work on all popular browsers. The gallery page will be extended as I clarify who owns the copyright on the various collections from the last few years. All reports since 2001 are still on the site, however those from 2004 and before have not been reformatted to the new look. Email with any feedback, or suggestions for further improvements. |

Happy New Year to you all. While there was plenty of good 707 racing in 2006, this website had a slow year. The website is the most public face of the Hunter 707 community, so it's important that it represents us well. In order to do that we need two things: 1. Interesting content 2. To publish that content promptly and professionally Thanks to a little guidance from Stefan Lloyd, who originally set this site up, I'm now ready to handle the publishing side of this. I'm also keen to see how we can improve the site overall. For example, Patrick Miles has suggested adding a maintenance section and I have already added an RSS feed to provide automated notification of updates to this News page. I have some thoughts about more major updates, but the key to making this site work is to have frequently updated, relevent content. The committee will provide some of this, the rest has to come from you, the members. Volunteers to write reports from events around the country are particularly important, but all 707-related news is gratefully received. Anyone ready to start at the upcoming AGM, prizegiving dinner, go-karting event? 4 years after joining the Solent 707 fleet, I'm glad to be making some progress on the water.
